A KidsGoals Beauty For Pennies Share :)

I no longer buy face cream because of all the funky preservatives and unpronounceable ingredients:( Instead, I make my own very economical version from scratch. I love saving money on beauty products, so I was delighted when I discovered the most amazing pantry staple, that will exfoliate your skin and leave it glowing and baby soft! You know it as baking soda or bicarbonate of soda :))

Seriously, the granules in baking soda are just the right size to exfoliate your skin without scratching or causing damage like some commercial products tend to do.Here’s how to use it…

Mix approximately a teaspoon of baking soda into your preferred facial cleanser and gently massage it into your skin using your finger tips for a minute or so and then rinse your face as usual. You can also make a paste using the same amount of baking soda and water, gently massage it onto your skin and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing off.

You will be amazed at how wonderful your skin will feel afterwards. I would only try this a few times a week as I found it can be a bit drying. Always apply a bit of your favourite moisturizer afterwards. I like coconut oil (use sparingly) a little goes a long way – enjoy :))

Another awesome use for baking soda :)) for relief from sunburn add 1-2 cups to a cool bath soak for 20-30 minutes or add 1/4 cup to a spray bottle filled with water and spray it on your skin
