Veggie Tales The Penniless Princess A Lesson in True Worth

As a child one of my favourite books was “The Little Princess” by Frances Hodgson- Burnett  I read it to all of my children when they were little and they loved it as much as I did, so I was honoured when the producers of Veggie Tales asked me if I would like to review their adaptation of Burnett’s beloved book – “The Penniless Princess” A Lesson in True Worth.

” Sweet Sara Crewe has everything a little girl could want – a loving family, lots of friends and a closet full of frilly dresses! But when life takes a turn and Sara goes from riches to rags, will she realize that her true worth lies not in what she has, but what’s in her heart? Find out in this inspiring new story from VeggieTales, based on the beloved classic story of “A Little Princess” that reminds kids who they are in God’s eyes by Frances Hodgson Burnett, that has countless movie and book adaptations.

I really liked The Penniless Princess! It is a sweet story with a great message and the songs are very catchy. The only thing missing was a little one to enjoy it with – sigh…
