“Postive Talk With Your Kids” – Your Vocabulary :))

Have you ever noticed how many more negative than positive words we tend to use in our daily language? For instance, I bet you could think of 10 different ways to say you’re in a bad mood today, “annoyed”, “fed up”, etc etc etc. But people tend not to use such a large variety of words when it comes to positive emotions.

So today’s idea is to help your child to develop a wide variety of vocabulary to describe positive emotions. You can simply get a list of words and then use them as a spelling practice!

Here are a few suggestions to start you off:

blissful
blithe
cheerful
chipper
chirpy
contented
delighted
ecstatic
elated
exultant
glad
gleeful
gratified
jolly
joyful
joyous
jubilant
lively
merry
mirthful
